Refrigerants

Industrial refrigerants for refrigeration, HVAC, automotive, and process-cooling applications.

Our Refrigerant Range

Fleximinds supplies the four most widely-used HFC refrigerants in disposable and refillable cylinders. Other refrigerant marks are available on request.

R404a coolant cylinder

R-404A

Replaces freon: R-502 and R-22

An HFC blend (R-125 / R-143a / R-134a) widely used in commercial low- and medium-temperature refrigeration: supermarket freezer cases, cold-storage warehouses, transport refrigeration, and ice machines. Historically R-502 (a CFC blend) and R-22 (an HCFC) handled these duties before being phased out under the Montreal Protocol; R-404A was developed as the direct replacement.

R407c coolant cylinder

R-407C

Replaces freon: R-22

An HFC blend (R-32 / R-125 / R-134a) designed as a drop-in style replacement for R-22 in residential and light commercial air-conditioning and heat-pump systems. R-22, marketed for decades under the freon brand, was the dominant air-conditioning refrigerant of the 20th century before its global phase-out. R-407C lets installers service and re-fill that installed base with a non-ozone-depleting alternative.

R134a coolant cylinder

R-134A

Replaces freon: R-12

A pure HFC (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) used in automotive air-conditioning, domestic refrigerators, medium-temperature commercial refrigeration, water-cooled chillers, and as a propellant in industrial applications. R-134A replaced R-12, the original automotive “freon” that powered car air-conditioning from the 1930s until it was phased out in the 1990s for damaging the ozone layer.

R410a coolant cylinder

R-410A

Replaces freon: R-22

A 50/50 HFC blend of R-32 and R-125, R-410A operates at significantly higher pressures than the older refrigerants and has become the standard for modern residential and commercial split air-conditioners and heat pumps. Like R-407C, it replaces R-22 — but in newly-designed systems engineered specifically for its higher-pressure operating envelope.
